Toronto, ON: Dave Bunker of Woodbridge fired a sizzling round of 65 to take over the lead at the 2008 Investors Group Ontario Men’s Amateur Championship at Islington Golf Club.

 

Bunker had a very solid front nine featuring four birdies and only one bogey, and made the turn at three under for the day. He matched his strong front with another three birdies on the back to finish his round with a two day total of 135 (seven under par) and a two stroke lead.

 

Cam Burke of Baden sits close behind in second place after bettering his 69 from round one with a three under 68 today and a two day total of 137. Burke continued his strong play today with six birdies, which was one more than his five on Tuesday.  

 

Robbie Greenwell of Georgetown and Simon McInnis of Toronto are tied for third at four under par. Both players improved on their opening rounds by firing three under par 68 in round two.

 

With the second round in the books the cut line was established at 150. Sixty-two players survived and will continue on with their third rounds on Thursday beginning at 7:30am. Bunker, Burke and McInnis will tee off at 10:50am.
