Leaders solve high winds in Ontario Junior Spring Classic

Uxbridge, ON:  A pair of Southwestern Ontario golfers solved the high winds to share the first-round lead at even par 72 in the Investors Group Ontario Junior Spring Classic at the Wooden Sticks Golf Club in Uxbridge, Ontario.

Austin Kelly of Chatham and Mitch Sutton of London are a single stroke in front of five junior golfers in the Golf Association of Ontario's first major tournament of the 2008 season.  Tied for third at one-over par 73 on the 6,771-yard layout are Kyle Benford of Amherstview, Jacob Bishop of Dundas, Daniel Kim of Toronto, Tyson Wetherup of Oshawa and Mackenzie Hughes of Dundas.

Richard Jung of Toronto and Scott Landreth of Stratford share eighth at 74.

In the Girls' Division, there is a three-way tied for top spot.  Laura Hildebrandt of Ancaster, Brittany Marchand of Orangeville and defending champion Nicole Vandermade of Brantford at perched in first with two-over par 74's.  Michelle Lee of Mississauga is a shot off the pace at 75.
