Jung leads Junior Spring Classic by single stroke

Uxbridge, ON: Just days after being part of the winning team in the Golf Association of Ontario's season opening tournament, Richard Jung of Toronto holds a one shot lead heading into the final round of the Investors Group Ontario Junior Spring Classic at the Wooden Sticks Golf Club in Uxbridge, Ontario.

Jung, who teamed with Albin Choi of Toronto to win the Ontario Better-Ball Championship last Thursday, battled the heavy rain and cold temperatures to record a one-over par 73 during the second round of the 54-hole junior event.  Jung sits a stroke in front of first-round co-leader Austin Kelly of Chatham at 147.  Kelly slipped to a second day 76 after opening with a even par round of 72.

Jacob Bishop of Dundas is two off the lead at 149 and Daniel Kim of Toronto is four back at 150.

Brantford's Nicole Vandemade is a shot in front of the 2005 champion Laura Hildebrandt of Ancaster at 152 after a second round 78.  Hildebrandt had a 79.  Brittany Marchand of Orangeville is third at 154.

The kickoff to the Junior Golf season in Ontario concludes tomorrow afternoon with the leaders teeing off at 3:10 pm.
