The RCGA allots each Provincial Golf Association a number of quota spots for the Canadian Mid-Amateur Championship. The quota number is based on an RCGA formula.  The GAO fulfills its respective quota through the Ontario Mid-Amateur and then forwards the names of the eligible golfers to the RCGA.

If there is a tie for the final Quota spot, a hole-by-hole playoff will be held immediately following play.  A player not immediately available for the playoff shall for forfeit his spot.  Multiple no-shows shall be decided by lot.
