Stokes Victorious at Senior Men's Champion of Champions

Bath, ON: New Hamburg resident George Stokes fired a three-under 69 to capture the Golf Association of Ontario's Senior Men's Champion of Champions title today at Loyalist Country Club.

Stokes, a Senior Men’s Club Champion at Deer Ridge Golf Club, carded five birdies en route to besting the field of 73 golfers by one stroke. The runner-up for the second consecutive year was Blane Hamilton of Whistle Bear Golf Club who shot a two under 70 in claiming the silver medal. Garry Spence of London was two shots off the pace at 71 for third place.

The Senior Men’s Champion of Champions is conducted annually for those who capture their respective Senior Men’s Club Championships.
